the Coconino County GIS Internet Mapping website (the “Information”) is a
composite of information taken from various internal and external public
sources. Coconino County does not
know and can not guarantee the accuracy of information obtained from outside
sources. The user of Information

GIS Internet Mapping site will make only public information accessible to the
public. Coconino County’s
objective in placing this information on the Internet is to enhance our
customer service by providing a centralized source of information.
The
Information is provided as required by the public records law in A.R.S. §
39-121 et seq. Public
records, with few exceptions, must be available to the public upon request.Public
records that are exempted from public disclosure will not be disclosed on the
GIS Internet Mapping site.Examples of
these are:
records containing information about a peace officer, justice, judge,
commissioner, public defender or prosecutor, A.R.S. §39-123; records that
relate to the location of archaeological discoveries, A.R.S. § 39-124; and
records regarding places or objects that are included on, or may qualify for
inclusion on, the Arizona register of historic places,
A.R.S. § 39-124.

For tracking purposes we record which tool is clicked along with
your IP address and time. If you do not wish to be recorded please exit the
mapping application. We also recommend that you use a minimum resolution of
1024X768 to view this website. The use of Internet Explorer is also
recommended. Several functions within the site make use of 'pop-ups', so you
will need to enable pop-ups.

Roads
It is a work in progress. New
and existing roads are currently being added and verified, respectively. Additions
and modifications are incorporated in the website on a monthly basis.
Contours
The website currently has 7 feet contours for selected areas
only, which cover majority of our major population centers. It
is planned to add contours for remaining areas using 10 meter contour data from
USGS.
Floodplain
Source of floodplain layer is Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA). FEMA suggests that
accuracies of no greater than 250 feet be presumed.
Parcel and Property
Information
This information may not be up-to-date.
Source of information is Department of Revenue (DOR) database. To
inquire about recent land sale transactions, please contact the Assessor Office
at (800) 559-9289 or (928) 779-6502. The
information may be out-of-date by up to 10 weeks. Septic permit
data by parcel only available for past 10 years online.
Tax Information
This website only provides information on estimated
taxes. To
check if the tax has been paid and to get exact information, please contact the
Treasurer's office at
(800) 559-9289 or (928) 779-6615.
Parcel layer
It
is a work in progress; and at present does not cover the entire county.
The County’s current priority for GIS data development and maintenance is concentrated in
unincorporated areas only. Inclusion
of data for incorporated cities depends upon availability of information and
data sharing agreements with the respective city.
Source
of GIS Parcel data for the City of Flagstaff
is
the City's GIS division. Note that
the integrated County/City parcel layer contains data from two different
sources. Please let us know, if you notice any discrepancies (gaps, overlaps,
etc.).
Split and Combination land divisions in GIS
parcel layer are not current to date. To

This layer currently has zoning information
only for those parcels that have been incorporated in the GIS parcel layer.
It is in current work plan to extend the zoning layer countywide for all parcels in the
unincorporated areas. To further

This layer is currently being verified by
different agencies.

Extent of coverage of subdivision information depends upon parcel layer. This
layer is extended as more parcels are added to the GIS parcel layer.

Original source of data for this layer is
Arizona State Land Department. This
layer is not current to date. This
layer has been revised for land ownership attribute per the feedback received
from the County’s Community Development department. The
layer has not been corrected for spatial quality.
The website currently has 1-foot pixel
resolution aerial photos for selected areas only from Phase I and Phase II of
the aerial photography project, which covers majority of our major population
centers.
Current Phase III of the project will provide photos for remaining major population
centers in the unincorporated county. It
is anticipated to incorporate aerial photos from Phase III by June 2004.
